Asunción – Language school – Estancia – Foz do Iguacu

Day 1: Asunción
Pick up of your homesty-familiy at the airport or bus station.

Day 2 - 7: Asunción
In groups of max. 6 persons grammar and conversation are obtained. Monday until Friday between 07:00 and 20:00 clock.
Our package contains 30 hours language course - max. 6 hours daily - of max. 6 participants.

Day 8: Asunción – Estancia San Francisco
Take an afternoon tour and explore the city of Asunción - a city with a million inhabitants but without the hectic pace; rather a down to earth, original, and provincial feeling. Visit the old train station which boasts the oldest railway in South America (no longer in service), the Panteón, the Government Palace and stroll down the main street „Calle Palma“ with us. Experience a typical South America market atmosphere at the Pettirossi Market and take advantage of the inexpensive shopping.
Afterwords, you drive to a 1,000 acre farm. The ranch is located in southwestern Paraguay, 200 km from Asunción, in a landscape dominated by vast grasslands and huge herds of cattle. The very friendly horses are rideable for everybody.

Day 9+10: Estancia San Francisco
Take part in Estancia everyday activities. After breakfast, you can take part in, or simply watch a cattle herding. You can take advantage of this opportunity to test your saddle-capability, or you can also going fishing in a local lake, or relax by a pool.

Day 11: Estancia – Foz do Iguacu
In the early morning, we proceed to the city of Ciudad del Este. There, we start our sightseeing tour. First we tour Itaipu, the largest hydropower plant in the world. A documentary will explain the origins of this giant plant. Afterwords, we take a bus tour to an 8 km wide dam, with a view of an enormous turbine hall inside of the dam. After this, we leave Paraguay, crossing the „Bridge of Friendship“ to Brazil.
Optional evening: Visit to the Churrasqueria Rafain + Show (closed Sundays).

Day 12: Foz do Iguacu
In the morning, we will visit the Brazilian side of one of the largest waterfalls in the world. The waterfall stands 2700 meters wide, and the water falls 80 meters, creating quite the spectacle. The mist causes a rainbow which stretches over the falls, creating a natural phenomenon not to be missed.
Transfer to the airport.
