Asunción

With about 1.4 million inhabitants, Asunción is one of the smallest capital cities in South America, however also has one of the greenest and most contrasted environments. Paraguay, is Asunción, the capital city on the bank of the Paraguay River with the authentic Pettirosi Marketplace, with its interesting shopping possibilities; is the always green and everlasting subtropical jungle to the northeast; the wheat and soybean fields in the southeast; the viticulture and cattle ranches in the east; and is also the so-called “green hell” of the Paraguayan Gran Chaco. The Paraguayans are really amazing. The spontaneity and friendliness of the people is authentic and gives the visitor a sense of always being welcome.
